A subtle invite

Before i sleep, i do the curtains on my windows
To have enough darkness
To rest my eyes and brows

Yet i make sure, the curtains leave
A little place for the moonlight to cleave

So that when moon light gives way
To the light which originally it does obey

It enters my half darkened room without being shy
And I am hoping in my heart
That it sees the half done curtains
As it’s invite, to just visit me anytime, & just come by.
